2022年8月14日结束的第34届国际信息学奥林匹克竞赛（IOI 2022）中，我校Andy van Horssen同学经过两天共10小时的鏖战，在全球约350名顶尖选手中脱颖而出，收获一枚宝贵的银牌，取得了新的突破。

Andy同学1至12年级均在上海中学国际部就读，今年秋季即将赴牛津大学圣约翰学院（St John's College, Oxford）数学与计算机科学专业就读。该专业本科录取率为8%，为牛津大学录取率最低的专业之一。

Andy van Horssen from the class of 2022 won the silver medal at the 34th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2022) on August 14th. Among over 350 outstanding global contestants, Andy achieved the remarkable award after a 10-hour test over two days.

Andy was one of the graduates who studied at SHSID from 1st grade through 12th. This coming fall, he will be studying towards a bachelor of science degree in mathematics & computer science at St John's College, University of Oxford, with one of the most selective and competitive admission rates among undergraduate students.
